Beschreibung
Your ideal venue based in the City of London combining unique art and valued heritage within an ideal location. This perfectly situated & opulent Livery Hall is ideally suited to events of any kind.
The largest and grandest of the three rooms, the Livery Hall is a fantastic space for conferences, banquets or wedding receptions. It can accommodate a reception for up to 320 guests on the building's first floor, approached via an oak staircase as well as a modern lift providing disabled access.
The splendidly proportioned Hall is hung with a fine collection of Royal Portraits dating from the late 17th century through to today's Royal Family, as well as some splendid historical paintings.
Beautiful crystal chandeliers can be controlled to provide appropriate lighting for both daytime and evening use. It also has magnificent stained-glass windows showing the arms of the Liverymen who have been Lord Mayors of the City of London and others who have played a prominent part in the Company's history.
Within the second event space, the Court Room the walls and displays chronicle the fascinating history of the Painter-Stainers’ Livery Company. Royal Charters granted to the Company by Elizabeth I, James II, George VI and Elizabeth II, together with a wide collection of historical portraits and other items relating to notable events in times past, adorn these walls. There is also evidence in these rooms of the Painter-Stainers’ skills as grainers and marblers.
Interconnecting doors slide back to reveal a more contemporary collection of art on the walls of the Court Dining Room. Together these Rooms present an ideal setting for pre-dinner drinks before ascending to the Livery Hall or for professional business meetings, presentations or smaller lunches and dinner parties.
Our final event space, accommodates just 16 people around its polished wooden boardroom table. The style and history of the Painted Chamber provides enchanting and intimate surroundings for special occasions such as business meetings, small lunches or private dining. Some of the most important treasures of Elegant Livery hall are located in this room.
The painted panels executed in the early 18th Century for the previous Hall were carefully removed and preserved prior to the Hall’s destruction as a result of enemy action. The panels hang on walls which are a wonderful modern example of the Painter-Stainers' art – they are decorated to appear as wooden paneling
