Built in 1929 and now Grade II listed, our venue is a landmark of London’s independent intellectual, political and cultural life. Our Main Hall plays host to a wide variety of events from conferences and lectures to concerts, dance classes, drama, festivals, film screenings, charity fundraisers, filming location and more.

With a capacity of 400 spread over the balcony and ground floor stalls seating, our Main Hall retains its period features and is internationally renowned for its excellent acoustics.
The ground floor of the main hall is fully accessible by wheelchair.
The Brockway Room is ideal for your more function room hire requirements. It has a seating capacity of 70 and is perfect for meetings, lectures, and even exhibitions with its specifically designed skylight which floods the room in natural daylight.
The Bertrand Russell Room has a seating capacity of 35 and is perfect for auditions, rehearsals and meetings alike. It is located on the ground floor and is accessible by wheelchair via a shallow ramp.
It has a full HD screen – compatible with HDMI enabled computers and devices (for VGA devices a projector and screen can be used).
